Inside Sales Representative

At Hi-cube Storage Products we value all of our employees. The average tenure of the administration staff is over 15 years and prior to our sales staff retiring the average tenure was also over 15 years. Currently, we have 5 Reps under 40 years old having been with us an average of 5 years and 3 older Reps that have been with us 20 years. Is it the cool Manager?, Is it the great coffee?, Is it the funny stories from some of the Sales Reps? We don't know but employees like us!


Minimum of 2 years of sales/customer service experience, with references that can be checked. Post-secondary education preferred. A person with great phone manners yet aggressive enough to close the sale. Ability to take technical information and communicate this to the customers in a simple but professional manner. Computer literate with Salesforce knowledge. This position will require visiting customers from time to time and could become a full time outside Sales Representative position for the right candidate.

  • This position involves answering to incoming calls and internet form submissions an entering information into our CRM System.  (Salesforce)
  • Learning of features and benefits of all our products and services. (Training is often a combination of self-learning and mentoring by a colleague)
  • Suggest/Recommend the best solution to the customer's problem (s).
  • Occasional visit with customers at their facility and ours. 
  • Route-specific opportunities to the appropriate sales executive for further development and closure.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure

Other Requirements:

  • Strong phone presence
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Someone willing to learn our extensive selection of products.
  • Providing product quotes as required.
  • Providing solutions to customers problems.
  • Performing maintenance and updating of customers records in CRM to ensure current information for future sales.
  • Opening new accounts
  • Preparing reports for marketing and sales forecasting
  • Communicating with the design department to create design drawings
  • Project management to some degree to support the Installation coordinator 
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • A working knowledge/experience of warehousing and/or material handling is considered an asset. 


High School Diploma required

Post Secondary courses in Sales and/or Marketing an asset

Background in the planning of space or building (construction) an asset

Product knowledge or industry experience an asset


Tasks are diversified and follow a wide range of standardized slightly complex procedures.

Moderate exercise of judgment generally covered by standards and precedents.

Analysis of data generally applied to the solution of specific problems.


Reports to the Sales Manager


Occasional supervision required. An employee works along on routine work and checks with a supervisor only when in doubt.
