Hi-Cube Raising Money for Canuck Place, One Stroke at a Time

Although the day started with clouds and rain, The CMHDS & Hi-Cube successfully pulled off a

golf tournament to benefit Canuck Place, raising $5000 on behalf of the local charity. By the time the first foursome was ready to tee off, the weather cleared.

This was a sold out event, full of fun, laughter and camaraderie. 62 players hit the course, double the amount from last year.

It’s a great time of year at Hi-Cube where we get to have fun, mingle with others in the industry and raise money for kids in need all at the same time. We have committed to becoming a regular contributor to this yearly event in the future.

With free cupcakes, snacks and drinks (sorry, no alcohol was allowed) out on the course, participants were kept well fueled while raising money for such a great cause. Players also scored goodie bags, coffee mugs and golf balls provided by Hi-Cube.

It’s a good time to get out, enjoy the sunshine and get to know other people in the same field of work. Even competitors get together and mingle, taking a break from the business world and focusing on driving a little ball down the fairway.

The night ended with a dinner and a 50/50 raffle, where the generosity flowed freely. Everyone that attended was essential at raising money for children living with a life-threatening illness and support for their families throughout British Columbia. Cash donations received that night were greatly appreciated.

We know that the hard work and stress all paid off in the end. We plan to grow this event each year, because we believe in supporting our community and the efforts of this charity in a real, tangible way.

We are thankful for the sponsors that make such events so successful. The sponsors for the CMHDS 2014 Charity Golf Tournament include:

We appreciate all of the support from our sponsors. The more we work together, the more we can accomplish to improve our industry and our community.
