Modula Flexibox is a specialized VLM (vertical lift module) designed for high-speed, bin-based order fulfillment. Its use of standardized bins enables incredibly fast throughput and also makes the Flexibox fully compatible with the components of a modern automated warehouse, including conveyors, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), and robotic picking arms. This makes the Modula Flexibox an ideal solution for a wide range of industries including automotive, pharmaceutical, e-commerce, and 3PL (third-party logistics), where fast and accurate handling of small parts or products is key.
How The System Works:
The Modula Flexibox VLM machine stores standardized bins on trays within its vertical structure, with each tray capable of holding multiple bins. When an order is placed, a central elevator retrieves several bins at once, which are then delivered to the picking bay on a service tray. This process allows for the fulfillment of multiple order lines in a single cycle, dramatically increasing throughput and reducing operator waiting times.
