Modula Next is an advanced vertical lift module (VLM) that combines the precision of an industrial vending machine and the minimal footprint of a VLM. It features a system of mobile shutters that only grant access to a single, specific item on a tray.
Its ability to provide controlled, single-item access and traceability makes it ideal for industries like aerospace and automotive, for managing critical parts, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, for securing and dispensing medical supplies, and even luxury retail, for protecting high-value goods.
How The System Works:
The Modula Next VLM machine operates like a traditional vertical lift module but with a key added feature for security and accuracy. When an item is requested, the VLM retrieves the correct tray from the vertical storage unit and brings it to an ergonomic picking bay.
What makes Modula Next unique is that it uses a system of mobile shutters that opens a window to only the specific compartment containing the requested item. This innovative design eliminates picking errors and provides an extra layer of security, as only one item can be accessed at a time.
